Elderflower Ginger Fizz

Our very own CEO and co-founder, Sophie, was excited to return to her hometown of Lancaster, PA for a few days to work on some exciting new projects and flavors!

Motivated by the colors and flavors of local Puerto Rico produce, she was happy to bring these flavors and local island knowledge back to Pennsylvania to use in some new soda recipes.  Sophie worked hard to get a lot of work done in Lancaster, but she’s happy to be back to warm and sunny island life, searching for more perfect flavor pairings for  POP’D sodas.

Sophie can definitely be called a flavor wizard when it comes to choosing the best combinations for each product. Much of her time spent back in Lancaster consisted of teaching our brewers about a new flavor, cacao acerola, which will eventually be a brand new soda coming soon in the upcoming months (stay tuned)!

Sophie was also working on getting our Apple Cider soda ready for sale which is the absolute perfect drink for fall - because even though Puerto Rico’s weather is warm and sunny, fall is still happening in the states! The cooling temperatures Sophie experienced back in Lancaster had us feeling all things fall so we concocted the perfect cool weather drink using our spicy and flavorful Ginger Ale. Keep reading for the recipe.

Here it is, the Elderflower Ginger Fizz!

Now is the perfect time to give a nod to upcoming cooler temps with a flavorful cocktail featuring bourbon and our delightfully fizzy Ginger Ale! This drink sounds sophisticated, but it’s simple enough for anyone to make.

All you need are a few ingredients because you already have (or should have) Pop’d Ginger Ale on hand! If not, you can find it here.

Elderflower Ginger Fizz Recipe:

Top off with Pop’d Ginger Ale (for that spicy kick)
Garnish with a lemon wheel and a Luxardo cherry for the perfect combo of tart and sweet.

You’ll love the way the spice and vanilla flavors in the bourbon combine with the lighter floral notes of the elderflower liqueur. By adding in the Ginger Ale, you’ll experience a nice kick of warm ginger that will turn this cocktail into quite the experience for your tastebuds!

Not a fan of alcohol? We also put together a non-alcoholic version of this tasty drink.

Recipe:
Pop’d Ginger Ale
½ oz simple syrup
(Try rosemary or blueberry simple syrup in place of the plain syrup for unique flavors)
A squeeze of lemon juice
Garnish with a lemon wheel and a Luxardo cherry.

Our sodas are spectacular by themselves or in cocktails and other mixed drinks. Our Ginger Ale, like the one used in this recipe, also has a surprising amount of health benefits. Ginger is excellent for tummy troubles, nausea, and a bevy of other health issues. Keep that in mind while you're enjoying your drink. Both your body and tastebuds will thank you.

Want more? Try the rest of our products here, and experiment with all of the flavors, either on their own or in your own cocktail and mocktail creations. Keep checking back for more on our upcoming products too! We’re always working with our local Puerto Rican farmers and juicers to create the ultimate in fresh, healthy, flavorful soda to ensure we can bring the best to you.
