The Year Of Progress: Part I
Gathering Small Wins
I nicknamed 2015 the Year of Progress as 2014 came to a close. “Progress” seems to be the right word so far.
The biggest goal over the past few months was finding a facility to call home. Popped Culture has that now, and we expect to start POPerations on June 4th out of the Broad Street Market in Harrisburg, Pa. The space is a blank slate that I count as one small win that we are very proud of.
As a benefit corporation, Popped Culture focuses on providing products and services to underprivileged children, but our benefit corporation designation also carries another specific purpose: promoting education and professional skill development. Thanks to Professor Rich Brown, Popped Culture is doing just that.
Penn State Harrisburg Masters students in Strategic Venture Planning & Innovation will finalize and submit their Popped Culture projects this week. The PSU Harrisburg MBA students are advising Popped Culture on how the company should handle its market entry.
We can’t wait to implement their recommendations and will post a summary when the time is right.
